    The Asheville Materials organization is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment for a Non-Product Materials Planner position that will meet the proactive and reactive challenges of supporting operations. The Non-Product Materials Planner will be responsible for leading and implementing Asheville’s non-product management strategy. The flow of production is critical to the success of every manufacturing operation. Production cannot happen without the flow of non-product material to support every aspect of the production process.

    As the Non-Product Materials Planner, you will be responsible to standing up multiple critical processes to define non-product needs and inventory levels. This requires working with several functions across the site to establish demand levels and manage inventory of all non-product material at the site.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing non-product material inventory throughout facility. Lead the establishment of full non-product requirements and consumption rate each process and machine.
    • Manage integration of non-product purchasing systems with SAP and implement measures to ensure the value stream is always healthy and to be able to address areas of opportunity quickly.
    • Implement the non-product strategy for Asheville which includes automation and a 100% paperless factory. Support creation of plan for every part, inclusive of parts, tooling & non-product. Support various continuous improvement activities as part of CORE operating system
    • Develop lean material solutions and support senior management with the development and implementation of materials improvement strategies. Implement key objectives for Asheville non-product management including shortage management, inventory initiatives & lean initiatives.
    • Communicate with both customers & vendors on status, expedites, lead time and capacity requirements, etc. Create and implement mitigation plans for non-product supply chain challenges which could impact schedule.
    • Monitor and communicate material shortage risks and mitigation plans. Monitor and manage non-product integrator contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior experience in production/manufacturing materials.
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
