Maternity Services Director is responsible for the maternity unit and all sub-unit operations and staffing. POSITION PURPOSE:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supervising residential staff, providing direction and checking competency of supervisors and direct support professionals, overseeing scheduling for residential areas, on-call duties as part of an on-call rotation schedule, observing and monitoring activities in residential homes, overseeing and ensuring oversight of home maintenance, having regular contact with people supported, encouraging positive communication with other agency staff, assisting with medication administration as needed, implementing and teaching staff to follow programs as determined by the person’s planning team, attending to health and medical needs, following general and specific behavior management practices, overseeing and maintaining accurate records of services provided. Develops and monitors professional staff for 24 hour coverage. Fulfills DSP work coverage when coverage is needed. Oversees the daily operation of residential group homes.

STARTING SALARY: $63K – $66K annual salary, commensurate with education/experience. Plus the following benefits for those who qualify: Paid Vacation, Health, Dental and Vision Insurances, 401(k) Retirement Plan.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time. Sunday – Saturday variable schedule. 60% in Residential homes, 40% in office. Typical hours M-F: could be 2-3 days in Admin/office/meetings plus 1-2 evenings in residential homes plus coverage every other weekend to accomplish 24 hour coverage when needed. On-Call. 45-50 hours in a typical week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or Social Work. Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Gerontology, or Health Administration preferred.
Demonstrates proficiency in DSP and Team Leader Competencies.
Three or more years supervisory/management experience in long-term and/or residential settings preferred.
Ability to complete all ARSD training requirements within required time.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, which may include working weekends and holidays.
Ability to be responsible for 24-hour on-call coverage and respond to issues as necessary.
Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language adequately to respond to participant needs.
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens accurately and responsively.
Responds to communication in timely manner and reviews e-mail and Therap daily.
Ability to see and hear in order to perform assessments.
Holds a valid driver’s license and maintains a safe driving record to travel between multiple sites.
Ability to respond to emergencies in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
