Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Handle and care for animals in the clinic, including feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures
- Conduct animal catheterization when required
-Strong surgery/anesthesia monitoring skills are required
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures
- Ability to handle dogs with care and confidence
We also operated a high volume mobile spay/neuter unit that is out several times a month. We do 35-40 spays/neuters in one day on our mobile unit. All of our vet tech are required to rotate on the mobiles (not negotiable).
Pay is based on experience.
We operate Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm.
