Measurement Technician jobs in Des Moines, IA

Overview:
We are seeking a Measure Specialist to join our team. As a Measure Specialist, you will be responsible for driving to residential and commercial job sites and taking measurements in order to build the countertops ordered. The measures are taken with a laser templating system, so proficiency with a computer and technology are essential. This position requires a detail oriented approach and a person that is able to complete the task the same way every time. Consistency and accuracy are required. Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.

Duties:
- Driving to residential and commercial job sites - Driver's license required
- Communicate with home owner/designer/home builder/job supervisor about scope and specific details of work
- Take measurements with laser templating system
- Check all measurements with tape measure
- Take pictures of project and measurements
- Clean up and finish drawings
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations

Experience:
- Templating experience preferred
- Knowledge of countertop construction and installation
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude is necessary
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential

Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Please note that this is a paid position. Pay is based on experience with a starting base of $20 per hour.
