JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Measure Technician

Field Measure Technicians document and compile comprehensive site survey data for nationwide installation of bullet resistant barrier projects. This unique travel-centric opportunity allows you to spend multiple days at a location, then enjoy time off at home before your next project(s). Responsibilities include scope-of-work execution, proactive collaboration, and quality assurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel across the country taking photo and measurements of various sites for pre-construction planning.  Travel requirements for the job can be up to 75% of your schedule. Trips can last for 7 to 10 days in some circumstances.

• Document property conditions and floor plans and elevations

• Read and understand project documents, scope-of-work execution, proactive collaboration, quality assurance

• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure scope alignment and project quality

• Provide updates and communicate with project managers and survey teams during the project lifecycle

• Support clients as they remodel or acquire new properties by capturing existing site conditions in alignment with client guidelines and scope of work.

• Assemble well-crafted survey reports using excellent measurement, photography, and AutoCAD skills

• Responsibly use a variety of measurement tools, laptops, cameras, as well as smartphones and iPads

• Demonstrate proven experience using collaboration platforms, apps, and various software

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced math skills and ability to read and interpret measurements

• Exceptional work ethic with multi-tasking ability

• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials

• Ability to read and understand project drawings and blueprints to manufacture appropriate elements

• Willingness to travel 75% per month for 7-10 days at a time

• Valid Michigan Driver's License, and ability to pass a background check

RELATED EXPERIENCE

• 5 years carpentry experience

• Fit and finish experience

• AutoCAD or other design software is a plus

• Contractor work experience is a plus

• Prior shop experience preferred

• Experience operating power tools and heavy machinery
