Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/ Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breaking down a carcass, with a focus on meat cutting techniques. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality meat products to our customers while ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
• Ensure all meat products are packaged properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs for restocking to management.
• Operate processing room equipment such as knives, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the cut room environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in meat cutting and breaking down of carcasses.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
