Mechanical Assembler jobs in Texarkana, AR

We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing like crazy and adding a Mechanical Assembler to their team.

Pay Rate:

• Entry-Level: $18.00 - $20.00/hour depending on experience
• Mid-Level: $22.00 - $25.00/hour depending on experience
• Senior-Level: $27.00/hour depending on experience
• Lead Assembler: $29.00/hour depending on experience

Work Hours:

• Training: Monday to Thursday; 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Training will take a minimum of three (3) weeks.
• 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday; 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM $2.00 Shift Differential

Location: Onsite – Shreveport, LA

Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension/conversion

Additional Information: Standard License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble product components, selecting the appropriate tools and fixtures for each task.
• Perform tests on assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Diagnose and address issues that arise during the assembly and testing phases.
• Interpret blueprints to identify necessary components and use the correct tools and rework techniques to ensure precise assembly.
• Operate equipment and set tolerances for mechanical parts and assemblies with precision.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of labor for each transaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Uphold safety standards by following all relevant risk assessments and taking personal responsibility for safety in the workplace.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess strong mechanical skills and proficiency with various hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions; must have legible handwriting.
• Previous experience in assembly operations or a related field is preferred.
