Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the company's mechanical research and development efforts.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:

    • Implement and verify basic mechanical components under supervision.
    • Perform basic design tasks with limited judgment on work details.
    • Specify, design, analyze, simulate, prototype, build, test, document, and release required mechanical systems.
    • Receive instruction on specific objectives and direction on complex problems and possible solutions.
    • Organize, plan, track, and resolve design problems associated with product performance.
    • Assist with system-level architectural design and development of specifications, schedules, and test plans.
    • Ensure design specifications meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards.
    • Develop product performance testing and incorporate design changes for problem resolution.
    • Interface with outside vendors as required.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal and external team members.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
    • Possibility of up to 25% traveling.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of prior relevant experience.
    • Proficient with SolidWorks or Creo.
    • Experience with thermal modeling.
    • Experience designing for lightest weight and best thermal performance.
    • Experience with SolidWorks Flow Simulator.
    • Experience with Finite Element Stress Analysis.
    • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.

    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
