LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our client in the greater Albuquerque, NM area. This full-time direct hire position is fully on-site.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining mechanical systems, creating technical models, and ensuring project deadlines are met timely and on budget. This would be a good fit for an applicant with mechanical systems design experience and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
· Design and maintain mechanical systems for a high-altitude platform
· Create and interpret technical drawings and models using computer software
· Perform calculations
· Partner with the engineering team to integrate systems into the high-altitude platform
· Perform testing and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions
· Provide status reports on the project and ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred
· 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems
· Excellent analytical and communication skills
· Proficiency with CAD
· Aerospace environment experience preferred
· Ability to attract the support and cooperation of others, team player

The anticipated salary for this position is between $94,231 and 134,836 based upon a written compensation plan.
