Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises the routine maintenance and inspection operations for a facilities mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Assigns maintenance and repair tasks to delegate workflow and manages a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track work orders. Being a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor develops policies to guide technicians on processes, best practices, and safety protocols. Oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to identify wear and damages and evaluate equipment for replacement. Additionally, Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor selects, schedules, and coordinates vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects. Ensures all maintenance, repairs, and equipment comply with established safety protocols and regulations. Experienced with facilities maintenance processes and may have completed a trade apprenticeship or technical training. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Description:
POSITION: Maintenance/Mechanical Technician
CAMPUS: Drumright Campus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Maintaining, repairing, and some installation of Mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, machinery and equipment. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with Mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing systems and electrical systems. Performing routine preventative maintenance and testing on equipment. Following instructions and operation manuals for all Mechanical/HVAC, plumbing and electrical tasks.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Coordinator
SKILLS REQUIRED: All areas of the mechanical trade and close attention to detail.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED. Mechanical Journeyman License preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 3 to 5 years mechanical experience. Field experience with HVAC units, plumbing, electrical knowledge, and experience in commercial/industrial settings. Equipment repair, general maintenance, and operation of various equipment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to confer and work cooperatively with co-workers. Must uphold the policies and procedures of the Central Tech Board of Education. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: February 5, 2024
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Support Employee,12-month contract, Non-Certified/Non-Exempt
