The Role
Your mission
GotPhoto is looking for an enthusiastic and creative
Social Media Manager to join our Brand Marketing team in the Atlanta area to lead our full-organic social ecosystem by developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our online presence and brand awareness. This role requires experience leading brand social channels, a deep understanding of social media platforms, excellent content creation skills, and a strong pulse on the photography industry and its audience.
GotPhoto is growing and so is our team with around 200 employees across 5 countries. As we grow and expand, we recognize the need for a dedicated Social Media Manager to join our team and bring our brand voice to life on social.
Responsibilities
- Social Strategy: Develop and implement engaging social media strategies that align with business and marketing objectives by identifying content pillars to structure the conversation, and tailor the global brand identity, personality, and voice specifically for the social audience while ensuring consistency with other marketing channels.
- Calendar Creation, Scheduling, and Execution: Leverage social strategy, data, and content (graphic and videos) to generate and maintain editorial calendars and schedule organic content
- Content Creation: Lead the development of graphics, images, and videos in alignment with brand guidelines, collaborating with our photographers and design team. Brief the content team to create engaging copy, and oversee the pre-production, shooting, and post-production processes for all photography and videography needs, with support from the content team.
- Social Media Campaigns: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of organic social media components of marketing campaigns to boost brand awareness, engagement, word of mouth, and positive sentiment. Work closely with the Growth team to develop paid social campaigns that drive qualified leads and signups. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign alignment with overall marketing goals and define key performance indicators for social media campaigns.
- Partner & Influencer Management: Develop strong relationships with social media influencers, photographer partners, and relevant brands for thought-leadership content
- Community Engagement: Foster community engagement by actively participating in relevant conversations and discussions, and monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, responding promptly and professionally. Moderate and repost relevant user-generated content according to brand guidelines. Develop strong relationships with social media influencers and our photographer partners for thought-leadership content, and engage other brands for social collaborations.
- Analytics, Reporting & Optimization: Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and follower growth, using social media analytics tools. Prepare regular reports and provide insights to optimize social media performance. Monitor active campaigns and adjust strategies based on incoming data, and optimize social media profiles and groups to enhance visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
- Industry Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices. Propose and implement creative ideas to keep the brand's social media presence current and engaging, and prepare succinct reports to educate the internal marketing team on best practices.
We are looking for:
- 3 years of experience leading brand socials
- Driven, self-starter who is ready to own the organic social ecosystem with little oversight and understanding that this is a global position that may require odd hours during busy season
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Facebook groups), their respective audiences, and insights
- Proficiency in using video editing services like CapCut and Adobe Suite
- Proven track record of being creative and engaging with professional audiences
- Ability to leverage internal departments for support
- Previous experience creating visual content and copywriting a plus
