Media Production Director jobs in Lake Charles, LA

Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Media Production Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     PRIMARY PURPOSE & FUNCTION:

    Maintain safe and effective control and coordination of all equipment, materials and personnel between shorebases and job location. Must maintain liaison between customer, shorebase and various vendors.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise control and coordination of vessel loading and unloading, coupled with the movement of personnel.
    • Maintain compliance of all HSEQ standards and regulations for base and yard personnel.
    • Maintain proper completion and filing of all paperwork and legal documents as required.
    • Must keep up to date information on all operations to share any logistics movement.
    • Must be aware of drilling operations to forecast any movements.
    • Must supervise all yard and base personnel to expedite material, transport, and cranes to ensure vessels and all transportation is turned around in a timely manner in accordance with customer?s requirements.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Knowledge of drilling equipment and drilling operation.
    • Utilization of resources used in logistic operations.
    • Minimum of one year involved with shorebase operations.
    • Must have high level of safety awareness.
    • Must have leadership skills.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Must have ability to plan and coordinate work effectively.
    • Must be willing to work schedules according to job requirements.
    • Must be a team worker and self motivated.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


    • High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

    Additional training may be required in order to meet company or customer standards or expectations.
