Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Chief Marketing & Content Officer, this position oversees logistics of all sport and social communications, serving as press officer at major events, and serving as the direct link between the USOPC and FEI communications and social media departments. This position is responsible for oversight of social media and communication strategies and plans including creation, distribution, management, and tracking of posts on the US Equestrian family of social media properties as well as press releases and media outreach. A primary responsibility of this position is traveling to events across the country and occasionally internationally to collect content and promote our championships and teams. In addition, this position manages at least four other staff members and may help coordinate the work of other staff within the Marketing department. Travel is approximately 20 – 30% of the year.
