Media Program Director directs and coordinates activities of broadcast and programming personnel. Responsible for scheduling programs and event coverage, coordinating with other departments, working with directors and production staff, and assessing length and content of broadcasts. Being a Media Program Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Program Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. NPG of California, the Central Coast's ABC, CBS and FOX affiliate stations have an immediate opening for a Media Coordinator Part-Time. Media Coordinators work behind the scenes to make sure that the broadcast day runs smoothly. Coordinators check the automation system to ensure there are no errors that would take the station off air. Coordinators also ingest and quality check the commercial files for continuity. The ideal candidate would have the ability to work as a Master Control Operator, Editor and/or Audio/Graphics Operator. We will train the right individual.
Pay range: $15.50-$16.00 an hour. Based on experience.
