Medical Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, researching, coding, and generating third party billing for a medical facility. Completes and verifies ICD-10 coding. Being a Medical Billing Clerk inputs and maintains all payment records in database or systems. Performs basic customer service for routine patient or other inquiries. Additionally, Medical Billing Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Billing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Role Description
This part-time hybrid commission only role for an AR Clerk/ Collections, will support the billing team by updating customer accounts, verifying and reconciling invoices, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using billing software. The position is located at our office in Covington, LA, with flexibility for remote work upon approval.
There is no hourly pay for this role as it is a commission-based role, where you would receive a % of the AR you collect.
