Medical Billing Specialist jobs in Lawrence, MA

Experienced applicants only for a busy Multi-Specialty Group Physician Practice.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller for a permanent 40-hour position. The candidate must have minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical doctor’s (M.D.) office. The position would entail but not be limited to denials follow up and appeal on all claims for a 27-provider practice to include the specialties of Orthopaedics, orthopaedic hand surgery, orthopaedic spine surgery, podiatry, rheumatology, interventional pain management, in-office spinal injections, plus, any other related office duties as may be assigned. Billing experience in multiple specialties needed and an understanding of anatomy to appeal surgical procedures. Experience with worker's compensation, auto accidents, and Athena Collector a must! The pay rate is commensurate with experience and negotiable based on, current pay rate, years of experience, knowledge, and billing specialties experience related to this job.

Candidates must be computer savvy, familiar with AthenaHealth, detail-oriented, organized, able to follow through with tasks from beginning to end, multi-task, work well under pressure and is a team player. Accuracy and speed are also a must!
