The Medical Courier ensures timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Picks up and delivers medical specimens and packages for a laboratory. Being a Medical Courier requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. In addition, Medical Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Medical Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Position:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The candidate will use their own vehicle and is responsible for all gas and maintenance for their vehicle. A fuel-efficient sedan/suv would be ideal.
The courier will pick up and deliver medical specimens and supplies between Bogalusa and New Orleans Louisiana. The route runs Tuesday through Friday with the first pick-up scheduled at 10:00am. This route will pay approximately $120 per day.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable Vehicle
- Liability Insurance Coverage of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000
- Clean Background Check and Motor Vehicle Record Check
- Clean Professional Appearance Required
