Medical Device Lab Technician works in a laboratory setting, producing medical devices such as prosthetics or orthotics, implants, or other devices. Configures and constructs devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. Being a Medical Device Lab Technician utilizes tools and precision instruments to result in customized fit, optimal function, and maximum comfort for the patient. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles defective or worn devices or appliances. Additionally, Medical Device Lab Technician works closely with the Orthotist or Prosthetist. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Device Lab Technician works under moderate supervision. We are looking for a ceramist who can restore fixed crown and bridge and full arch implant restorations. Expertise in Ceramics as well as Zirconia restorations is required.
Understandings of Exocad software and CAD/CAM milling and design is essential. Roland Mills, Sinter Furnaces, Porcelain Furnaces and an Extraoral scanner will be utilized daily.
Our lab provides individual work-stations and working with a seasoned lab team.
