Medical Laboratory Technician jobs in Green Bay, WI

The Medical Technologist independently performs laboratory procedures.  Accurately interprets, documents, and reports out test results (including critical values) to clinicians.  Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.  Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and reference ranges for test methods.  Communicates professionally with providers and other staff members and serves as a resource for questions.  Continually under the risk of infections and toxic exposure.  Serves as General Supervisor as assigned. (Please note that the term “General Supervisor” here, refers to CMS-CLIA/CAP defined standards.  As such, staff will, as instructed, assist in day-to-day supervision or oversight of laboratory operations).

Minimum Education Required : Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/CLS (or related degree/coursework) that qualifies for a ASCP board certification. Associate degree from an MLT program to qualify for ASCP board certification.

Minimum related Years of Experience Required : To fulfill General Supervisor functions:  One year performing high complexity testing in this laboratory or as designated by laboratory director.  (Must ensure compliance with CMS-CLIA/CAP defined standards as relevant to particular duties).

Credential/Licensure Required : Must be ASCP Certified or eligible. Must obtain certification within 1 year of hire.

Shift :  Working as needed in Lab, no set schedule. There is a 10% differential for hours worked.
