Position Summary:
Potawatomi Training is seeking a qualified candidate with three (3) plus years’ experience as a Logistics Management Specialist (Medical) to support our efforts at TRADOC Headquarters, Joint Base Langley located in Fort Eustis, VA.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience:
- Three (3) years’ experience as part of G-4 in an active component division staff or equivalent Service organization.
- Experience working at a Regional Health Command, Medical Center, and/or TRADOC Medical Center of Excellence.
- Experience in providing oversight, analysis, planning, and coordination of medical logistics tasks at an Operational and Strategic level.
Expertise: Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the following areas:
- Coordinate, review, and provide SME input to Army and TRADOC regulations, policy, and plans that affect the organization's mission, and assist with the rewrite of necessary publications, with the Army Staff, TRADOC HQ, and subordinate elements as applicable.
- When directed, develop a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for each project upon initial assignment of work. Maintain up to date POAM throughout projects.
- Research current Army and TRADOC publications to discover any publication needing updates due to changes in organizations for all publications to be consistent with policy.
- Coordinate across Command as applicable to solicit and coordinate medical support, clinical and readiness operational requirements.
- Coordinate, process and synchronize medical operations and Soldier readiness actions, information, and data associated with medical readiness functions across the Army Staff, TRADOC HQ and subordinate elements.
- The contractor shall provide oversight, planning, and implementation guidance and metrics tools for TRADOC unit level medical logistics through coordination with OTSG, Army Materiel Command (AMC) and DHA for TRADOC medical logistics support (AR 40-61; ATP 4-02.1).
- Execute Medical Logistics Planning.
- Develop, coordinate, and synchronize all aspects of medical sustainment and logistical agreements. Maintain and develop appropriate policy records, files, and data to document unit support, activities, and to forecast future requirements.
- Develop the logistical support system to move medical equipment and supplies within TRADOC’s AOC for the supported population.
- Develop and adjust plans and schedules for actions needed to meet major fielding requirements.
- Provide Medical Logistics Coordination and Oversight (AR 40-61; ATP 4-02.1).
- Provide input on budget and cost estimates for medical equipment and supplies required to support contingency and training missions.
- Develop medical logistical support packets (medical equipment and supplies) required during contingencies.
- Determine need for and recommends changes to meet current, unusual, or unforeseen logistical requirements. (AR 40-61; ATP 4-02.1).
- Collects data on and evaluates exercise and/or contingency operations to use as a basis for improving and revising medical logistics doctrine, directives, instructions, or support plans.
- Formulates and/or interprets regulations, directives, and policies concerning various logistic functions.
Common Task Requirements:
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, electronic mail and other applications.
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, forms, briefings, emails and other documents using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Make changes to Word documents, modify Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to enhance their effectiveness or to repair/correct minor errors.
- Establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence and other
- Compose, type, and distribute notes, routine correspondence and reports in the format established by their assigned organization.
- Prepare official document in formats specified.
- Accomplish any training necessary to execute tasks.
- Provide customer service as needed and respond to information requests.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a current Secret security clearance.
- Must be physically able to perform all the technical duties.
- Must be able to adapt under a highly stressful multi-task environment for extend periods of time/up to 8 hours.
- If prior service, must have received an honorable discharge.
