Being a Medical Policy Specialist establishes the proper codes to use for claims processing. Responds to questions from medical staff and communicates details about policy and guidelines. Additionally, Medical Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires Registered Nurse RN. The Medical Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and increasing brand awareness by establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, particularly in doctors' offices and medical facilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the medical community.

    2. Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish strong, long-lasting relationships with physicians, nurses, office managers, and other healthcare professionals to generate leads and referrals.

    3*. Product Promotion and Education:* Educate healthcare providers about our durable medical equipment offerings, highlighting the benefits and features to meet patient needs effectively.

    4. Identify New Opportunities: Continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory through networking, strategic outreach, and attending relevant industry events.

    5. Social Media and Website Management: Manage and update company social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to engage with the online community, share relevant content, and promote company events or initiatives. Additionally, oversee the maintenance and updates of the company website to ensure it remains current, user-friendly, and reflective of our brand identity.

    6. New Patient Experience Management: Take a proactive approach to manage the experience of new patients who utilize our services. Coordinate with healthcare providers and the customer service team to ensure a seamless transition for patients, providing them with necessary information post-services documentation. Manage satisfaction surveys as required to gather feedback on their experience and address any issues or concerns promptly to enhance patient satisfaction and loyalty.

    7. Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership to develop marketing materials, campaigns, and promotional activities tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals.

    Qualifications:

    • College level degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field or work experience in a related field preferred.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to deftly interact with physicians’ offices and hospital call points, as well as internal team members.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of durable medical equipment and healthcare regulations is a plus.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
