Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to medical staff and ensure efficient patient care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, laboratory testing, point of care testing, TB skin testing, pulmonary, vision, hearing, electrocardiography and all other requested procedures by Provider
- Perform basic medical tasks including vital signs, performs EKG(s), phlebotomy as well as measurement and specimen collection
- Lead all administrative duties to include but not limited to inventory, daily visits, maintain provider schedule, assist with landlord assignments and all external visits and inspections, accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with referrals to specialists
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
-Reports potential problems with respect to patients, families, and associates
-Participates in performance improvement initiatives to improve care quality and safety
-Possible supervisory duties
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of various general medicine
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medication administration
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems for efficient documentation

Qualifications
