Medical Secretary - Home Care provides secretarial support to clinical staff in a home care environment. Performs various secretarial and clerical duties, such as typing reports and correspondence, transcribing written notes, maintaining records and files, answering phones, and arranging clinician schedules. Being a Medical Secretary - Home Care may be responsible for entering clinician charges into medical billing system. Requires knowledge of medical terms and vocabulary. Additionally, Medical Secretary - Home Care requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Secretary - Home Care possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.       • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
      • Strong computer skills.
      • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
      • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision.
      • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
