Medical Social Worker (BSW) provides social work services to hospital patients and their families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems related to hospitalization. Being a Medical Social Worker (BSW) participates as a member of multi-disciplinary team and may assist patients in treatment planning. May contribute to the formulation of discharge plans. Additionally, Medical Social Worker (BSW) requires a bachelor's degree of social work. Typically reports to a manager. Position Highlights:

- Work with a variety of patient concerns.
Job Summary
Assist the residents and their families to resolve psychosocial problems related to care needs and assist interdisciplinary team in the overall care delivery system to maintain a safe, respectful and homelike environment for all residents.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited Social Work Program required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current license in Social Work in the State of South Dakota required.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $21.50 - $32.50 per hour
