Medical Staff Credentialing Director jobs in Brownsville, TX

Medical Staff Credentialing Director is responsible for all aspects of the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Provides regulatory oversight and guidance to the credentialing process. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Director maintains working knowledge and ensures continuing compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards and guidelines. Develops and implements policies and protocols related to medical staff verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with organizational and industry standards. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Director analyzes reports on applications and credential status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Presents files to the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to senior management. The Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    As the Patient Experience Director, you will execute patient experience strategies, initiatives, and standards to continually enhance the care experience of our patients and families to promote loyalty for the system. You will work closely with organizational leadership and other patient experience stakeholders to ensure the employee engagement, clinical excellence and care experience strategies are cohesive and aligned to support the development of leaders and employees.

    What You Will Do In This Role:

    • You are responsible for planning, analyzing, preparing, managing, and evaluating administrative and operational activities of customer experience and related projects.
    • You will operationalize tactics and best practices including but not limited to Nurse Leader Rounding, Employee Rounding, Standards of Behavior, Bedside Shift Report, etc. and coaches facilities in support of these strategic.
    • You will work with Education and HR partners to implement evidenced based practices training classes or other programs to ensure new and existing staff have proper tools and preparation to perform daily tasks and duties.

    What Qualifications You Will Need:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field required
    • Master's degree in healthcare leadership/management or other related field required
    • Minimum five years of experience in Healthcare Leadership preferred
    • Minimum three years of experience in Healthcare Leadership or Management preferred
    • Lean experience or Six Sigma black or green certifications preferred
