Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor jobs in Montana

Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor oversees day-to-day activities of staff that process credentialing and recredentialing applications for health care providers. Implements department procedures to facilitate organized and up-to-date provider databases. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor administers system for tracking license and certification expirations to ensure renewals are submitted in a timely fashion. Ensures that applications are properly verified and accurately uploaded into an online credentialing database system. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor resolves complex questions regarding credentialing or provider database maintenance and best practices. Prepares reports on applications and credentialing status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. May require a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Medical Site credentialing Specialist will be responsible for completing onsite surveys/audits for local medical clinics to ensure requirements are aligned with ULG client expectations.

    ULG will provide each credentialing specialist a required checklist to be completed.

    • Must have access to a tablet or laptop
    • Must have access to Acrobat Reader and MS Excel/spreadsheets

    Essential Duties Responsibilities

    • Visit local clinic locations to review and verify checklist for licensed practitioners in order to certify their compliance requirements
    • Validate building accessibility, the physical appearance of facilities, and facility setup
    • Complete survey checklist
    • Keep manager informed of concerns or problems with credentialing processes
    • Manage confidential information and matters of discretion and privacy in a professional manner and comply with all laws and requirements surrounding HIPAA
    • Review medical record-keeping practices, processes for patient scheduling, and other policies as needed
    • Other duties as may be reasonably requested.

    Education, Experience Skills

    • Associates Degree preferred or relevant professional working experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience credentialing and/or auditing in a regulated environment
    • Effectively interact with the community, operational and clinical personnel
    • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
    • Detail-oriented and strong research skills
    • Organized decision-maker with the ability to work independently and in teams.
    • Strong oral and written communication
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database programs)
