Medical Technologist - Microbiology jobs in Meridian, ID

Medical Technologist - Microbiology performs a variety of microbiological procedures in order to cultivate, isolate and identify microorganisms in skin scrapings, exudates, body fluids and surgical specimens. Conducts routine and specialized microbiological procedures, including virological, mycological, bacteriological, and parasitological assays for use in diagnosing and treating disease. Being a Medical Technologist - Microbiology verifies accuracy of findings, identifies test inconsistencies, and takes appropriate action to make corrections and resolve problems. Operates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment used in microbiological analysis and procedures. Additionally, Medical Technologist - Microbiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires an American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or its equivalent. May require a state license to practice. Medical Technologist - Microbiology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Job Summary And Qualifications

    As a MRI Tech you will perform, and demonstrate your professional knowledge to provide care for our patients served in the Imaging department. We pride ourselves in knowing that our employees are compassionate, kind and deliver high quality, patient centered care.     • You will perform, under the direction of a physician, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) examination to patients of all ages under the direction of a physician using advanced technical knowledge.
    • You will be expected to perform all responsibilities with minimal supervision, and the latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
    • You will be responsible for advanced knowledge of the complexities of MRI equipment, examinations and working with students, staff teaching MRI technology.
    • You will be responsible for the assessment; treatment/care for all patients, which includes ability to interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs and understanding of the range of treatment needed.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
    • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
    • Associate Degree
