Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Planner
Experience and Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning (or similar equivalent field).
· AICP and/or PP license or an interest/goal to obtain them.
· 1-5 years of experience in Land Development, Zoning, and Planning.
· Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills.
· Candidate should be comfortable with public speaking.
· Understanding of zoning ordinances, Municipal Land Use Law, Master Planning, Affordable Housing, and Redevelopment Plans in New Jersey.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities.
· Working with the Director of planning to support municipal clients in writing Master Plans, Redevelopment Plans, Housing Plans, and Investigation Studies.
· Assisting with the review of site plans and subdivision applications for Municipal Land Use Boards.
· Assisting in drafting amendments to zoning ordinances.
· Preparing visuals and presentations for public meetings.
· Creating streetscape and architectural design standards.
· Present reports to municipal officials and staff, and the general public.
