Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • POSITION SUMMARY

    Plans and prepares production in collaboration with Master Scheduler for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·         Strategic Workflow Planning: Systematically plans workflows for each department, aligning with established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

    ·         Efficient Coordination: Coordinates seamlessly with Purchasing to manage Subcontract Services effectively.

    ·         Documentation Expertise: Manages the completion of essential shipping paperwork (C of C’s, Data Packs, etc.) in collaboration with QA to ensure adherence to shipment dates.

    ·         Inventory Validation: Validates crucial inventory transactions, such as materials issued to the work order and completed parts to Finished Goods.

    ·         Real-time Job Tracking: Maintains up-to-date status reports for all assigned jobs, ensuring transparency and accountability.

    ·         Quality Assurance: Conducts thorough examinations of outgoing shipments to guarantee compliance with specified quality standards.

    ·         Proactive Communication: Informs Program Management promptly about job statuses and addresses any potential issues that could impact on-time delivery.

    ·         Optimized Production Sequencing: Plans the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations to provide clear guidance to production workers.

    ·         Operational Coordination: Actively communicates with area supervisors to expedite product delivery, fostering a collaborative work environment.

    ·         Project Status Assessment: Confers with department supervisors to assess the status of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with timelines.

    ·         Adaptive Scheduling: Proactively expedites operations causing delays and adjusts schedules to accommodate unforeseen conditions, ensuring operational efficiency.

    ·         Detailed Reporting: Prepares comprehensive production reports, offering insights into key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

    • Professional Conduct: Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors
    • Teamwork and Collaboration Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and staff, and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals
    • Ethics and Compliance: Abides by GSM's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.

    ·         Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Windows based computer programs, M1, and ERP/MRP based company-wide sales order administrative systems (Visual MFG).

    ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things. Ability to communicate effectively.
