Serves as a member of the Behavioral Health Team in the outpatient clinic at the Wind River Family & Community Health Care Center. Providing behavioral health treatment to individuals, families, and groups.
Provides intakes, assessments, and treatment planning for patient care.
Provides direct patient care to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, as well as perform mental health evaluations.
Provides clinical support for the Medical Department and provides consultation services on mental health matters to other WRFCHC professional and allied staff.
Refer patients for admission to acute psychiatric inpatient settings when level of care cannot be provided in-house. Coordinates all such referrals and ensures provision of timely follow-up care as required.
Participates with other medical professionals in educating the community and medical staff on mental health issues, including crisis intervention.
Work to ensure that documentation requirements are met to maximize billing and provide best clinical practice.
Complete all documentation within one week from the date the services were provided to maintain quality and productivity standards, update clinical record, including progress notes and other relevant information, and enters the necessary information into the electronic health record system.
Collaborates with WHRFCHC and other Tribal departments for continuity of care.
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.
Masters’ level education or higher in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy
Licensed or Provisionally Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, PPC, PMFT, PCSW)
Current licensure, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licensure within a reasonable amount of time (under the supervision of personnel currently in place) and has already passed the test required for licensure.
Must maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards in performing the position.
Must have the ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities, with the ability to be culturally sensitive and culturally appropriate.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
Current BLS Certification or must be able to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
