Title: Merchandise Associate

ProTek Recycling Incorporated is seeking an individual who can take refurbished electronics (laptops, monitors, computers, etc.) from our computer technicians and list them on various selling platforms. This person will also handle the shipping and packaging of sold products and other tasks described below. The individual should be an efficient typist, be detail oriented, and have basic computer hardware knowledge.

Work Summary:

• Creating bulk and single product listings on various selling platforms.
• Making listed items presentable, attractive, and ready for sale.
• Taking photos of items - making sure to capture any blemishes so that our listings are reflected accurately.
• Manage inventory.
• Product investigation and price evaluation.
• Packaging and shipping.
• Customer service and support.

Other responsibilities as asked by management.

Availability:

Monday through Friday: 7AM to 3PM

Preferred Background and Skills

• Experience with online selling platforms, especially eBay
• Familiarity with computers - hardware and software. Preferred experience with processors and internal components.
• Interest in technology & sustainability
• Experience with cameras or photography
• Looking for an individual who is energetic, bright, has a relaxed attitude, motivated, and dedicated to getting the job done. Successful candidate will have organizational, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skills.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 or more years of experience with the Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• 18 years old
• Background Check
• Drug screening throughout employment
• Able to lift, pull, push 50 lbs. throughout the work shift.
• GED/HS Diploma

ProTek Recycling is an electronic recycling company based in Watervliet, NY. We offer electronic recycling pick up services to companies in the Capital Region, NYC and greater surrounding area. We process all the technology to find alternative markets or recycling streams for the different products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
