Merchandiser merchandises products and implement merchandising plans in a retail environment. Works closely with store sales staff to improve the consumer buying experience by providing support for merchandising plans. Being a Merchandiser monitors inventories and sales and generates reports for product lines. Troubleshoots delivery or vendor issues and develop solutions to ensure product availability. Additionally, Merchandiser coordinates maintenance of pricing, markdowns, on-order, and merchandising guidelines and product knowledge information with sellers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to manager. The Merchandiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. What it takes :
The ability to work independently visiting various retail locations within 25 miles of your home. Activities vary each day and include auditing products, counting inventory, setting new fixtures and displays, setting products and shelves to new layouts, moving shelves and fixtures, stocking products, and placing shelf labels are just a few of the critical tasks performed as part of this job.
If you learn quickly, have a positive attitude, and have great attention to detail, this job is for you.
What it requires :
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, lift to 30 pounds and bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time is needed.
Access to reliable transportation is a must. Smartphone access for reporting and photo capture is required. This position reports to one of our local district managers - to be sure you have local support and training, you will need to have some availability on weekdays for training purposes.
We also provide a full-service call center to help if you get hung up and need assistance in-store.
