Merchant Card Customer Service Manager manages a team of merchant card customer service representatives. Establishes service standards and monitoring processes to identify and resolve performance issues with team or service systems and procedures. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Manager provides development and training that ensure the team is prepared to provide efficient service. Coordinates with other internal functions to provide any technical or other services that are needed. Additionally, Merchant Card Customer Service Manager recommends changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs and to address new or unmet business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Merchant Card Customer Service Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Merchant Card Customer Service Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The AVP – Card Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the growth, retention, and ongoing development of Nicolet’s Card Services Products to create exceptional Cardholder experiences that directly contributes to the shared success amongst Customers, Employees, and Shareholders, while differentiating Nicolet as a leader in the Card Payments market. In addition, the position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the bank’s ATM fleet is operational.

    As an AVP – Card Services Manager, you will:
    • Deliver best in class experiences related to Card Products & Services
    • Oversee continued Growth & Engagement, Profitability, Risk Management, and Expense Control for Card Services Products
    • Manage relationships with Card Services Product partners [Fiserv, Mastercard, Transunion, others] to include Product roadmaps, new product & services opportunities to continuously enhance cardholder experience, escalation and final resolution of issues related to Card Services Products
    • Create and manage the Card Services Product roadmap to ensure on-target, high quality, and timely release of new products and services and engagement/adoption (internally and by customers)
    • Attend industry events and conferences to keep current on industry trends and competition impacting Card Services and Payments
    • Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all bank matters.
    • Provide courteous, professional services to customers by receiving, screening and transferring telephone calls and providing routine information to clients or customers.
    • Take independent action on handling customer requests and determines the appropriate course of action where necessary.
    • Maintain the bank’s ATM Fleet, external services contracts, scheduling of installations.
    • Work with ATM vendors and branches for ATM installs, upgrades, service issues, and resolution.
    • Assist Branches with ATM servicing (including upgrades, service issues, training) Create and update training and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

    Qualifications
    • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5 – 7 years retail banking or card experience
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
