The Sales and Service Representative is responsible for developing new business while retaining and expanding existing merchant relationships by meeting the product and service needs of customers and prospects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicates directly with and represents the Bank to current and prospective customers including on-site demonstrations, installation of terminals and training.
• Utilizes a consultative sales process that includes structuring customer specific merchant services solutions and formulating a sales presentation strategy to achieve goals and increase fee income.
• Maintains a scheduled calling program for existing customers to ensure high quality servicing and identify additional needs to enhance relationships.
• Makes joint calls with Branch Managers, Commercial Relationship Officers, and Senior or Executive Management as needed.
• Initiates, processes and completes the required documentation of the sales and application process to insure complete and accurate files for customers and vendors.
• Provides timely updates to branch personnel regarding status updates on referrals.
• Proactively cross sells and refers as appropriate Business Banking and other related products and services.
• Completes monthly residual reports to provide to Senior Management.
• Works closely with the Operations Department monthly to ensure all merchant accounts are current and active in Horizon.
• Attends branch meetings to educate staff across the footprint on an annual basis, at a minimum.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Banking Experience

• Demonstrated use or knowledge of Merchant Capture, CBMS, Business Banking or other cash management products strongly preferred
