This position is a full-time, in person position reporting to the Compliance Manager. As the Reconcilement Specialist, you will be responsible for researching and initiating the appropriate action to resolve disputes, ensuring potential financial risk is mitigated. Daily monitoring and tracking cases in compliance with REG E, VISA and NACHA criteria. Disputed transactions include fraud and non-fraud transactions originating from use of a debit card, or an electronic payment (ACH, and Bill Pay). This position is typically cross trained to perform various functions in the area

Responsibilities:

• Meet daily KPI’s set by Compliance Manager while adhering to MyBambu’s and Federal Regulations.
• Investigate non-fraud and fraud claims by analyzing account activity to determine the outcome of claim based off Visa Regulations.
• Follow up with the customer to communicate claim decision in a timely manner.
• Make recommendations to implement changes in which would better the processes and procedures set in place.
• Monitor Reg E disputes and ensure they are handled within MyBambu’s policy timeframe.
• Conduct research on common discrepancies found and make appropriate corrections.
• Conduct ongoing training with frontline departments that adhere to ongoing regulatory changes.

Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional writing skills, particularly skill in creating high-quality documents that prescribe or govern the activities of and relationships among people – such as policies and procedures, commercial contracts, corporate transactional documents or legislation/regulations.
• The ability to understand dynamic contexts comprised of legal requirements, business objectives, resource constraints and stakeholder interests; and to exercise insight, creativity and judgment in conceiving ways of guiding and organizing people’s activities that “work” on multiple levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support effective collaboration, including a capacity for building consensus in the face of divergent interests or viewpoints.
• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, good humor and enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges. Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously, with effective resolution of competing priorities.

Job Requirements:

• Bilingual - (English & Spanish) Salesforce Knowledge/Experience.
• Two or more years of experience in Financial Claims Department and Financial Crimes.
• Strong understanding of Regulation E Policy, Visa Rules, Risk Management, Chargeback Rights, and NACHA criteria.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
