Assists with project management activities. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     LOOKING FOR:  A mission-driven, Senior-level Contract Professional with an active secret clearance to join our AMERICAN SYSTEMS team as a Senior Acquisitions/Contract Support Analyst in San Diego, CA. Candidate will support the United States Navy.

    As a Senior Acquisitions/Contract Support Analyst, you will:

    A week in the life of a Senior Acquisitions/Contract Support Analyst:

    • Provide Acquisition and/or Contract support with emphasis on strong working knowledge of: DoD 5000 Series/ SECNAVINST 5000 Documentation, Cost estimating, Technology Assessment, Acquisition planning, Financial Planning, Integrated Master Scheduling, ACAT 1AC-IV Milestone Decision Process, Market Survey, Information Technology Purchase Requests (ITPRs), Program Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, Contracting Process/Documentation, Data Collection and Analysis, and Program
    • Report Statuses in the Navy environment. 
    • Work heavily within MS Office Products, including Microsoft Project, and an Expert in MicroSoft Excel.
    • Develop, implement, and manage processes across multiple programs and projects, preferably across geographically diverse regions. 
    • Work within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) for Purchase Requests (PRs).

    Job Requirements
    • Bachelors Degree in any discipline
    • Any of the following certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • Lean Six Sigma
    • CMMI 
    • Active Secret Clearance

    At least seven (7) years of experience in:

    • Acquisition and management support
    • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) for Purchase Requests (PRs)
    • DoD 5000 Series/ SECNAVINST 5000 Documentation
