Metallurgical Engineer designs and initiates processes for the manufacturing of metals from ores and for the operation of the related production equipment. Performs analysis and tests to aid in the development of new and improved metals and alloys as well as their applications to various products. Being a Metallurgical Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Metallurgical Engineer work is closely managed. Education- Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and, practical work experience to the degree necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.

Abiquiú (or Abiquiu /ˈæbɪkjuː/ (listen)) is a small census-designated place located in Rio Arriba County, in northern New Mexico in the southwestern United States, about 53 miles (85 km) north of Santa Fe.
