Experience and qualifications for success
• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Minimum six years of civil engineering experience and licensed
• Strong written communication skills required for writing in a technical format
• In collaboration with staff engineers, must be able to design general engineering solutions
• Must be detailed and quality-oriented
• Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain flexibility to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and/or Microstation (OpenRoads)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suit
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications and verify that they are complete, accurate and in accordance with best engineering practices
• Assist in the preparation of calculations for cost estimates and other supporting documentation for a variety of engineering projects
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and work in a team environment
• Work within a team to respond to comments and meet project deadlines
