Meteorologist investigates, integrates and analyzes meteorological data from a variety of sources, including surface and air stations, satellites, and radar to prepare reports and forecasts for public and other uses. Analyzes weather model guidance and issues specialized hazardous weather forecasts when warranted. Being a Meteorologist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meteorologist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.     Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for an MMJ/Meteorologist at Marquee Broadcasting, Inc. in Cheyenne, WY. The role involves reporting, producing, and presenting weather forecasts, as well as covering severe weather events and other meteorology-related news. The MMJ/Meteorologist will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and communicating weather information effectively to the audience.


    Qualifications

    • Meteorology, Severe Weather, and Climatology skills
    • Experience in analyzing and interpreting weather patterns
    • Strong knowledge of Physics and Oceanography
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field
