Middleware Engineer performs design, development, installation, tuning, and maintenance of middleware applications. Provisions platforms and infrastructure with middleware solutions. Being a Middleware Engineer analyzes requirements to implement effective middleware architecture, resolve technical issues, and optimize performance. Defines and documents technical designs and system configurations. Additionally, Middleware Engineer coordinates with application development and cross-functional technical teams to enable and support middleware integrations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Middleware Engineer works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Wilson & Company’s Salina, Kansas office is seeking a Roadway PE with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. This position will perform roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation/OpenRoads. We work on projects of various sizes allowing more opportunity to lead and manage tasks. A background in traffic engineering design is also valuable as our team develops designs for signing and striping, traffic signals and construction traffic control, providing full-service roadway design to our clients.
In this position you will work with experienced designers and project managers as well as collaborating with other disciplines and subconsultants to deliver projects primarily in Missouri and Kansas but with opportunities to support regional projects as the opportunities arise.
