Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Position Summary
Maintain, repair, and install electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Perform pass/fail diagnostic testing on industrial equipment.
Primary Accountabilities (Essential duties)
Analyzing and testing of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems. Diagnose causes of failures and perform repairs as necessary.
Perform periodic scheduled maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
Implements safety controls into equipment and machinery.
Establishes a pattern of continuous improvement and working with accepted quality guidelines to achieve goals.
Diagnoses and replaces damaged or broken parts, and cables on malfunctioning machinery.
Maintains parts inventories and makes recommendations for purchase and replenishment.
Work closely with engineering department personnel to implement plant improvement projects.
Take assigned training/classes to build better understanding of the different types of maintenance and repair functions of equipment and machinery.
Assist in the implementation, usage and data entry of the plant CMMS system.
Utilize CMMS system for every task assigned to document all maintenance activities and log all parts used in system as they are taken from stock.

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)
2-year technical degree in a maintenance related field of study.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Knowledge and experience with cutting/forming machinery and mechanical presses.
