Mobile Applications Developer is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining mobile applications. Troubleshoots system problems and issues and looks for ways to improve the application. Being a Mobile Applications Developer may require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mobile Applications Developer typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Mobile Applications Developer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Senior Software Developer - Applications

  • Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking multiple Senior Software Engineers to join our Business Applications team. You will work on internal tools, applications, and APIs that empower the manufacturing, engineering, and administrative capabilities of the company.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work directly with peers and stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope and apply your technical skillset to solve business problems.
    • Become knowledgeable in the business domains relevant to the software you build and operate.
    • Be a proactive member of your self-organizing software team by participating in planning sessions, facilitating code reviews and engaging with other teams with a high level of autonomy.
    • Help your team to continuously improve by contributing to tooling, documentation, and development practices.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of six (6 ) years of experience writing production code in a professional setting.
    • Proficiency with modern PHP (PHP 7.4 / 8.0 ) and its ecosystem (Composer, PSRs, frameworks, etc.).
    • Experience with one or more PHP web frameworks (e.g., Symfony/Laravel/Laminas).
    • Experience working with frontend javascript development.
    • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques.
    • Basic understanding of HTTP, TLS/SSL and DNS.
    • Prior experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and virtualization technology like LXD and/or Docker.
    • Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other formal agile/project management methods.
    • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
    • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with PHP 8 and Symfony framework 5.4 .
    • Experience with object-oriented database access tools such as Doctrine/Eloquent/Laminas DB.
    • Frontend development experience with a modern javascript framework, npm, webpack, Vue.js.
    • Knowledge of multiple high level, interpreted programming languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
    • Prior experience designing and providing long-term support of APIs and integrations.
    • Experience with Bash, ZFS, MySQL administration, GitLab DevOps and/or Rundeck are beneficial but not required.
    • An ability (and interest) to understand, support, and evolve legacy systems.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
