Since its inception in 1987, Solid Surface Craftsman, Inc. (SSC) has been driven to provide the best quality products to the commercial and residential millwork market.

Our 50,000 sq. ft. facility, located in Glenville, New York houses our cabinetry and countertop divisions. All our cabinets are hand crafted using quality hardwoods and materials. Our finishing facility is one of the leaders in the northeast specializing in custom colorization.

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced cabinet maker/ millworker

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

• Fabricating custom wood cabinetry
• Work and communicating with a team or independently as needed
• Understand blueprints, drawings and sketches
• Prep material for assembly using exact measurements
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
• Provide the highest level of quality standards

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience in woodworking, mill and cabinet shop using hand and power woodworking machinery and tools in the layout, milling and assembly of products made from wood and related materials
• Excellent work ethic and dependability
• Must be able to achieve results in an accurate and timely manner
• Requires standing for extended periods of time, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying over 20 lb.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and managers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating CNC machinery
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience in woodworking, mill and cabinet shop but it is not required

Pay:

• Hourly Rate based upon qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
