We are looking for a Security Hall Monitor to join our team to start in the new year. This position supports an educational client of ours in ensuring a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the hallways and promoting attitudes of student responsibility while assisting with the safety of students, staff, and security of the facilities.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience working in security and / or an educational facility as a counselor, teacher, administrator, etc.
• Ability to interface well with students, parents, and staff.
• Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times.

Specific Duties :

• Patrol and monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the facility to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Ensures that students comply with school rules and communicates with students to monitor behavior while in the hallways.
• Report conflicts between students to the appropriate administrator when necessary.
• Assist with school drills i.e. fire, tornado, etc.
• Monitor walkie-talkie for requests for information from staff members.
• Assist visitors with directions and secure proper identification.
• Assist with visitor sign-in procedures and building activities.
• Report any discipline infractions, unauthorized visitors, and acts of vandalism.
• Notify the building administration of any emergency, potentially dangerous, or unusual situations.
• Supports the client in ensuring a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the hallways and the students while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.

Pay : $22.00 - $26.00 / hr.

Shift hours : Pending - 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm Monday - Friday.

Criminal background and reference checks are conducted upon hire.
