CFCU Community Credit Union is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to assist the Business Lending Department in analyzing financial statements and current tax returns in order to evaluate cash flow and viability of the business. The successful candidate will Limit the Credit Union's risk of losses by monitoring the quality of the loan portfolio and keeping management informed of potential losses, trends and compliance problems.
Responsibilities:
· Completes a full evaluation of business loan applicants including credit bureaus, cash flow analysis, collateral values, and Risk Ratings.
· Conducts annual reviews of lines of credit and business loans, obtains tax returns, current credit reports and conducts a new cash flow analysis.
· Reviews loan requests and assists in recommendations on loan structures and terms to loan officers. Prepares a written presentation on each new loan and ensures that loan proposal meets CFCU business policy requirements.
· Prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns, personal financial statements, rent rolls and other necessary loan documentation.
· In charge of monitoring and updating the Annual Review Tracking Log on a consistent basis for departmental use.
· Responsible for updating Rates in the system weekly as required.
· Completes and compiles Monthly and Quarterly Reports.
· Completes Quality Reviews of Line of Credit Advances and Floor Plan Requests as needed.
· Compiles documents and files requested for audits and regulatory examinations and assists in drafting responses to any related findings.
· Onboards and provides training to other Credit Analysts within the department on an ongoing basis. Tasked with creating and updating SOP’s specific to tasks related to the Credit Analyst role.
· Serves as a backup for the administration of the Business Lending Loan Origination System (LOS) – nCino and Financial Spreading Software; including new product creation, product maintenance, user maintenance, pricing updates, system updates and upgrades.
· Build and utilize working relationships with internal business partners across the organization and external contacts if required.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
·A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
· Two to five years of similar or related experience in a credit union or other financial institution.
· Experience in all aspects of lending including real estate, commercial, and consumer is a plus.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.)
· Must have attention to detail and be able to multitask.
· Ability to effectively train and guide teammates.
