Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee the loan process from initial application to close of file. Operations Manager will partner with internal team members and external clients in qualifying and processing of loan files. A successful analysis is accomplished by completing a basic review of loan files submitted to operations, completing verification of employment, reviewing executed funding packages, assisting in the completion of closing documentation, assisting with various loan assignments, and assisting other managers, team leads, processors, underwriters, closers, and post-closers in special projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete Verification of Employment on assigned loans within 10 days of closing.
- Order third party verifications such as appraisals, condo certs, title documents, flood certs, etc.
- Review obtained loan packages for signatures, dates, notary stamps, etc. prior to giving funding authority.
- Partner with Loan Officer Assistant in retrieving, obtaining signatures and overnighting CEMA and CO-OP documents.
- Oversee pipeline management to ensure files are accurately and efficiently processed within organizational deadlines.
- Complete basic review of loan files to ensure necessary documentation and data fields in loan origination/processing system are complete and accurate.
- Assist in reconciling final ALTA statements.
- Process file once locked, submit to Underwriting for conditions and direct Loan Officer Assistants to properly order appropriate services for files.
- Provide Branch Manager with regular updates and reporting on branch pipeline status.
- Complete post consummation closing disclosures and issue refund checks.
- Act as the liaison between the branch and corporate underwriting operations.
- Work on special projects, as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years’ mortgage or lending experience in the capacity of an Underwriter, Processor or Originator.
- Operations management experience, preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, underwriting guidelines and statutes relevant to the mortgage industry.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ellie Mae Encompass experience, preferred.
