Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Engineer work is closely managed. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years related experience and in-depth knowledge of various operating systems, platforms, databases, and networks.     Location: Onsite - Auburn Hills, MI

    Duration: 1-year contract (with opportunity for extension or conversion to direct hire)

    Responsibilities:

    • Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate customers' networks and in-house servers.
    • Maintain physical Unix, Windows, and Linux Servers.
    • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
    • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
    • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords, with expertise in Active Directory.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 6~9 years of related work experience.
    • Proven experience as an IT System Administrator Manager or a similar senior role.
    • In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, platforms, databases, and networks.
    • Familiarity with system security, backup and recovery, patch management, and automation tools.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and web hosting technologies.
    • VMware (vCenter, vSphere) management experience.
    • Knowledge of networking services and standard networking protocols.
    • Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware.
    • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
    • Wiring, racking, IDF/MDF room experience.
