Role and Responsibilities:
• Network Equipment Installation & Management: Lead the end-to-end installation, configuration, and management of diverse network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity across the enterprise.
• Network Optimization & Scalability: Continually assess the network infrastructure, implement optimization strategies, and ensure the network scales efficiently with the organization's growth.
• Security & Compliance: Deploy advanced network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard organizational data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide prompt resolution to network-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime and supporting users with connectivity and access issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and traffic patterns, implementing adjustments and enhancements as necessary.
• Continuous Learning & Training: Stay updated with emerging trends in network technologies, protocols, and security. Lead training sessions and provide support to the broader Infrastructure team.
Minimum Requirements (skills required to do this job; list at least 3 that are quantifiable):
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in network equipment installation, configuration, and management.
• Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IP, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Familiarity with network security practices, including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Cisco's CCNA, CCNP, or similar would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• In-depth understanding of VoIP configurations and optimizations.
