THE ROLE: Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of Network and security solutions.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 30%. It will be based in our CT Location with travel possible in New England.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of network and security solutions.
• Working with our customers and the engineering team to successfully implement secure LAN/WAN network solutions.
• LAN routing and switching design, configuration and deployment in small to very large enterprise environments.
• Provide network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of Wireless infrastructure and network security products/solutions.
• Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications and Wireless networks.
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
• Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco/Meraki is a must, Arista is a plus).
• NGFW/Firewalls/VPNs (Palo Alto is a must, Cisco/Juniper/Check Point/Fortinet are a plus).
• SDWAN Experience (Meraki and Cisco a must, Silver-Peak is a plus).
• Foundational Knowledge in the following areas a plus.
  • AWS/Azure Cloud Network and Security.
  • IDS/IPS solutions (Sourcefire/Palo Alto a plus).
  • Authentication solutions including 802.1x/RADIUS/TACACS, MFA(Okta, Duo) and RSA.
• Drive to learn programmable infrastructure skills (PYTHON, NETCONF, Ansible, APIs, REST, YANG etc). 
• Public Cloud networking (AWS is required, Azure and GCP are preferred)
• Complex data center fabrics (an understanding of native VXLAN and VXLAN with EVPN as well as Cisco ACI is preferred) 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 7 years of experience in project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of Network and security solutions.
• CCNP or 7 year equivalent experience is required.
• AWS Certification is a plus.
• PCSNE Certification is a plus.
