Job Summary

The IT Network Infrastructure Supervisor leads the team of IT Communication Technicians, Radio Technologists, Computer Support Specialists and Telecom Clerks to ensure excellent system performance, project execution and limit client impact by facilitating the timely resolution of reported incidents.

The leader must work closely with other IT planning, build and operational groups to define and continuously improve processes for network and telecom capital portfolio strategic execution, system response, resolution and restoration services provided to the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops strategies, goals and plans for work group and capital plans while ensuring alignment with the IT Infrastructure and Operations processes.
• Leads and provides work direction and priority setting for the team so they can achieve performance goals.
• Fosters a cross-functional approach to resource management.
• Works collaboratively with other leaders to ensure resources are managed across all teams.
• Works with other IT Leadership to establish measurements, key performance indicators that define telecom operational excellence.
• Creates a continuous improvement environment such that root causes are captured, patterns are detected, and errors are systematically eliminated.
• Monitors performance of employees including reviewing response times, problem resolution, quality and quantity of work.
• Maintains complete knowledge of all relevant technology processes and manages established performance metrics.
• Maintain and publish all applicable telecom, transport and networking corporate information stores.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related technical degree
• 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience in networking, telephony, telecom and related technologies
• Formal and/or informal leadership experience including team building, coaching, mentoring and employee development
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
• Experience working with 3rd party hardware and software vendors
